Arrowhead Nose SurgeryIdeal Proportions

Ideal nose proportion — diagram measuring horizontal and vertical facial proportions (1:1:0.8)
  • When the vertical facial ratio from the upper face to the lower face is1:1:0.8,

  • When the width of the nasal base and the distance between the eyes are the same and equal to 0.8 of the overall face

This is the most ideal proportion.

Arrowhead nose surgery is

a nasal line correction procedure suitable for those whose nasal tip droops below the alar rims from the bridge, creating an arrow-like appearance.

This generally occurs when the nasal tip cartilage is small or the columella (pillar) supporting the nasal tip is weak,

When you have an arrowhead nose, the elongated nasal length can make even the midface appear longer, which may make you look older.

At Hyundai Aesthetics, we assess the overall facial proportions to lift the drooping nasal tip and, when needed, perform surgical methods that reduce the nostril width and adjust the alar position,

providing not only correction of the nasal line but also a natural-looking effect that balances the overall vertical length of the face.

A confident nosefrom every angle!
  • Correction of a downward nasal line

  • A more dimensional impression

  • Personalized surgical plan

  • Effect of reducing the vertical facial length

※ After surgery and treatment, complications that may commonly occur depending on the individual, such as bleeding, infection, and inflammation, may occur, so caution is required.

Why arrowhead nose surgerymay be needed

LONG NOSE TYPE

  1. 1When the nasal tip droops in an arrowhead shape
  2. 2When the nose creates a stubborn or sharp-looking impression
  3. 3When a hump nose makes the overall face appear longer
  4. 4When the nasal tip is low compared with the nasal bridge
  5. 5When the nose is long relative to the facial proportions

Arrowhead Nose Surgery Surgical Method

TYPE 01

When the nasal bridge is low with a hump

TYPE 01 before procedure — diagram of a nose with a low bridge and humpTYPE 01 after procedure — diagram of a smoothly corrected nose

The protruding bone on the nasal bridge is removed to create a smooth contour, the length of the nasal tip cartilage is shortened, then lifted upward and fixed in place to correct the nasal tip. Depending on the case, the nasal bridge may be augmented with an implant, while the nasal tip may be treated using septal cartilage to raise the columella as part of the surgery.

TYPE 02

When the cartilage droops downward

TYPE 02 before procedure — diagram of a nose with downward-drooping cartilageTYPE 02 after procedure — diagram of a nose corrected by lifting the cartilage

By partially excising the nasal tip cartilage and firmly suturing it together, the cartilage is lifted upward and the nasal length is reduced to correct the arrowhead nose shape.
