Hyundai Aesthetics's adhesion-prevention rear epicanthoplasty is an eye-opening procedure performed when the horizontal eye length is short and the outer corners are slightly upturned. It opens the blocked-looking outer corner through an incision and fixes it to the outer periosteum, improving the eyes by extending their horizontal length. Dissolvable sutures are used inside the eyelid to allow a faster return to daily life.

※ After surgery or treatment, complications that may commonly occur depending on the individual, such as bleeding, infection, and inflammation, may occur, so caution is required.

When Adhesion-Prevention Rear Epicanthoplasty Is Needed

CASE 01Eyes that appear close-set inward
CASE 02When upturned outer corners make the impression look strong
CASE 03When a previous rear epicanthoplasty has reattached
CASE 04When the narrow horizontal eye width makes the eyes look restricted
CASE 05When you want larger, more open-looking eyes
CHECK POINT ONE!

When the outer corners of the eyes are upturned and create a sharp impression, opening the outer corners can help create a gentler, softer, and more pleasant look. Because the outer corner is extended outward, the horizontal length of the eyes also appears longer, improving the eyes to look longer and more open.

Hyundai Aesthetics's Rear Epicanthoplasty Process

01Rear epicanthoplasty step 1 — blocked-looking, upturned eyes

Before surgery, the outer corners of the eyes look blocked and upturned

02Rear epicanthoplasty step 2 — diagnosis and design of incision length

After diagnosis, the possible opening length is checked and the design is planned.

03Rear epicanthoplasty step 3 — lateral canthus periosteal fixation

After incising the possible opening length, the tissue is dissected and fixed to the periosteum at the outer end of the lateral canthus.

04Rear epicanthoplasty step 4 — fixation with dissolvable sutures

After refining the eye shape once more, dissolvable sutures are used to secure the fixation inside the eyelid.

05Rear epicanthoplasty step 5 — completed open-looking eyes with extended horizontal length

The blocked-looking outer eye area is opened to increase horizontal length and create a more open eye shape
